These Are Three Great Sous Vide Barbecue Recipes For This Summer

Cooking on the barbecue is one of the summer’s gains so you can enjoy some delicious meals with your friends and family in open-air. To help you improve your repertoire here’s some great sous vide barbecue recipes you can make this summer.

Sous Vide Shish Kebab With Mixed Vegetables

For this delicious meal, you can use chicken breast, chicken thigh, pork, beef or lamb chunks and this is for you to choose, but I prefer pork chunks because they are the perfect match with mixed vegetables. So, what you will need to make this dish for four people.

–    Pork chunks (2 kg)

–    Vegetables (green squash, onion, mushrooms, paprika)

–    Olive oil

–    Salt

–    Pepper

–    Lemon

Put the salted and peppered pork chunks in a sous vide bag and cook it for about 3 hours until they become soft. When the cooking is done, put the sous vide bag on ice for 20 minutes. After that cut chunks and vegetables into small bite-sized pieces and order them onto the skewers. Spread on the barbecue with the olive oil and turn it to high. When it’s heated, you can place skewers and cook until they begin to char. In the end, squeeze one lemon on the top before you serve the dish.

Sous-Vide Brisket

Preparing brisket with sous vide technique is a great thing because you will avoid making it dry and bland. To make sous vide brisket on your barbecue, you will need:

–    2 kg of flat-cut brisket

–    50 g of black peppercorn

–    60 g of salt

–    Onion and bread for serving

Mix the peppercorn and salt in a bowl and then rub the surface of each brisket with it. Then put the briskets in a sous vide bag, seal it and rest it in a fridge for two hours. Now the brisket is ready for cooking. Set your cooker to 70 degrees Celsius and cook for about 24 hours. This will make the meat nice and soft. Then you can set your barbecue to a mid-high heat, oil the grate and place brisket. You are done when you get a dark bark on the surface. Serve it with onion and bread.

Sous Vide Chicken Breast

If you’ve just started with sous vide cooking you should try this lovely sous vide chicken breast recipe. You will get nice prepared tender chicken, and it is straightforward. You will need following ingredients to make a perfect summer dish:

–    4 chicken breasts

–    One sprig of fresh thyme

–    One sprig of fresh rosemary

–    Salt

–    Pepper

Rub the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, put it in a sous vide bag with a fresh thyme and rosemary and cook it for two hours at 60 degrees Celsius. Remove chicken breasts from a sous vide bag and dry it with a paper towel. Put the breasts on the clean grate and grill it for about two minutes per side just to get a nice brown color. You don’t want to dry it off to much so be careful.
